Unforgiveness is a devastating emotion.

Why is forgiveness so hard?

Not only forgiveness for those who’ve wronged us but also forgiving ourselves. It’s even harder to forgive when there are still ill feelings toward the person or situation. how can I forgive a repeat offender, how can I forgive when it still hurts? Although it hurts, forgive them anyway. “Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:21-22‬ ‭

An unforgiving spirit is often caused by guilt, shame, or anger. It’s a devastating emotion that steals your joy, peace, and happiness. Don’t let it! Forgive, forgive, forgive. Forgive others as God forgives us, and most importantly forgive yourself. No sense in beating yourself up for things God has already gotten past. Let God heal your heart and give you peace like no other.
