Just Wait

Waiting on God can be tough, but it is absolutely necessary.

Just wait... one of the hardest commands.
With the advancement of technology and our “I want it now mentality, "waiting is just not something we want to do. One day I wanted my hair done, but my stylist was booked for the rest of the week. She put me in for her next available appointment. Cool, I secured a slot, what’s the problem. After securing my appointment, I started looking for other stylists who could do the style I wanted sooner. I found one and got my hair done the same day! Yay right.
Nope! Leaving the appointment, I received a text from my stylist saying she had two cancellations, and she could do my hair the same day or the next one. I was so mad because if I would have just waited, I could have had my hair done by the person I wanted. This is just like the spiritual world. God wants us to have his best! He doesn’t want us to get into relationships, take jobs, or manipulate things to work in our favor that he hasn’t designed for us, just so we can get what we want. But if we just wait, if we just wait on him. We can have everything we desire, everything He desires.
“Wait for the Lord, be strong, and take heart” - Psalm 27:14 NIV
Waiting on God doesn’t mean we stop working and moving, it means living in a confident expectation and anticipation of God’s actions on our behalf; to refuse to run ahead of Him, trying to solve our problems for ourselves.
Trust God’s Timing and don’t move ahead.
